Pic quality lost

I found the app very useful but after using high quality images taken by a photographer and converting the collage into a jpeg, I noticed the quality of the images used became terrible (even somewhat blurry).

Is this an app related problem or does one just have to accept that you will loose image quality when you create collages in this programme.
